The honey and pineapple in this sticky chicken sandwich are sweet, and the soy sauce and grilled chicken are savory. It's a delicious, messy treat. Perfect for a messy but tasty meal!
Ingredients: 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs. 1/2 cup soy sauce. 1/4 cup honey. 2 tablespoons brown sugar. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon grated ginger. 4 burger buns. 1 cup coleslaw. 4 slices of pineapple. Lettuce leaves. Mayonnaise for spreading. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger to make the marinade. Place chicken thighs in a resealable bag, pour in the marinade, and seal the bag. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the marinade and season with salt and pepper. Grill chicken thighs for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through and slightly caramelized. Toast the burger buns on the grill until lightly browned. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a lettuce leaf on each bun, followed by a grilled chicken thigh, a slice of pineapple, and a scoop of coleslaw. Top with the other half of the bun and press gently to assemble the sandwich. Serve your sticky chicken sandwiches hot, and enjoy!
