Chad is very much afraid of commitment, so I wouldn’t say that he desires romance. He does desire physical intimacy though, and physical comfort, which can often come from a partner. Their love life is pretty anti-climatic, unless you take into account that he was previously sleeping with the Sheriff who is older than him and slept with his dead sister - that’s pretty dramatic.

Currently Chad does have a couple of crushes, but that’s typical for him. He develops crushes because someone gave him attention he didn’t expect or think he deserves. Chad really has two types - the type that pats his head and wants to take care of him, and the type that is ready to fight him at a moment’s notice and force him to cut his shit out.
