Grigor is in New York! 😄😍
Hi Lily :) I love your blackout poems, I've been doing some myself and it's nice to see other people are in love with that too. I actually can't write poetry, but always find it amazing how you can actually "see it" in a blackout poem. I just finished blacking out "The History of Love" by Nicole Krauss which was really nice to work with. It's strange how it's so easy to do blackouts with some books and with others.. it's just not working.
Hi, thanks for your message! I am just like you; totally in love with blackout poetry. I always found it difficult to write my own original poetry too - but I’ve been trying it out recently and I think I’m getting better, it’s all about trying! I get what you mean about “seeing” the poem within the page too. And yeah, some books work better than others, although I think each text has something different to offer and gives a different “theme” to your work. Let’s support each other though: I encourage you to keep on creating! :)
