Drew some quick cooldown sketches of Solomon island ground boas since I've never drawn them before. I should draw my own two baby ones sometime
Dear Harry Potter film makers,
For the love of god stop using constrictors as snakes to portray Nagini! Nagini is described as venemous. Venemous. This means she doesn't kill her prey like a Drumeril's Ground Boa or a Reticulated Python as you showed her as. She is venemous. This means she has fangs that she uses to inject her venom into the prey. By the sounds of it, her venom might be hemolytic?
Constrictors coil around their prey or rely on the force of their muscles squishing them while being swallowed to kill the animal. Constrictors asphyxiate.
I get that this is fiction and takes place in a magical world but please don't make Nagini something she is not🐍
Another commission I am working on. Vinny the Santa Isabel Solomon Island ground boa for Morgan Little Eagle.
6x8 vellum Bristol board in Prismacolor colored pencils.

This is my new obsession, Namira. She's a WC (she's been in captivity for 3-4yrs) and has a bunch of scarring, is missing ribs and is blind in one eye. She's approximately 10yr+.
SNAKES IN THE SUN
That mat is just to give Vince extra traction on the plastic platform... Apperently also a good blankie
