The ones of you who follow my account for a longer time know that I love blue flowering plants and that I am always on the hunt for a new good one. Last year, I discovered ajuga reptans ‘Catlin’s Giant’, the common name is buggleweed, and planted it in a shady area in my backyard. It has very attractive, fleshy, dark green leaves that can take on an unusual purple bronze hue. My plant has spread over time and has formed a nice dense ground cover. But what is best about it is that it produces these very showy, clear dark blue flower spikes at least twice a year in my garden. I love this plant so much that now I am trying to get it established in my front yard where it will get a bit more sun and where this photo was taken. What do you think? Do you like this plant? And I am curious, if you grow it yourself, what is your experience with this ajuga? #ajuga #ajugareptans #ajugareptanscatlinsgiant #catlinsgiant #inmygarden #inmygardentoday #blue #blueflowers #blueflower #blueflowerspikes #groundcover #groundcovers #attractive #attractiveleaves #purple #purplebronze #purplebronzeleaves #organicgardendreams (at San Diego, California)
