Bugleweed (Ajuga reptans) growing in an old graveyard. This plant os a primary nectar source of the Pearl-Bordered Fritillary (Boloria euphrosyne), a highly threatened species in the UK, so it's great to see it!

In Bloom
i love the spring so much
Spring is in full swing here. The trees finally have leaves again! There are flowers as far as the eye can see! The birds sing all day and the frogs sing all night (weather permitting)! It's wonderful. :-)
Since I needed to test out my new phone's camera anyway, I used it to take a few snapshots from around my yard.
Hello, little bees! The bees are diligently gathering food and pollinating the flowers. I love them watching them. Aren't they fascinating creatures?
I found 5 morels in my yard this year; a new record! I let them be in hopes that they will keep coming back and multiplying.
The apple blossoms had a rough go of it this year. There were a lot of gusty winds and a few nights with freezing temperatures. The flowers fared better than expected, but they weren't as fragrant as usual. It's such a shame when they have a bad year. They're here for such a brief moment in time. Goodbye, apple blossoms! I'll miss you!
