Been pushing pause as we celebrate two #birthdayinquarantine for my husband and youngest son. I didn’t get to shop for presents because we were trying to get the basics in place in case we went into quarantine which of course has happened. I’ve been nervous - how do I make it fun? Well it’s been back to the basics. Lots of puzzles and good cooking using what was in the cabinet, cooking lessons for my teens, time to reflect and pray together. I’m also been looking at my priorities and trying to cherish the small things. For example we got out the photos from when they were babies and had such a riot looking at them last night. I can’t believe they were ever so small! I even have gotten out my paints but it’s sloooww with those so far (scroll to see my attempt at a sunset). Today is Joey’s birthday so we are going to be into pancakes and mac & cheese - his choices. I must say I enjoy the time with these young men that are growing into their own. Simple things aren’t all that bad. Love to you and yours.
