Obi-Wan is tired. Now that he sits in the Chancellor's office, up to his elbows in documents, he wonders--not if he's the right man for the job, but if he's ever going to feel like himself again. Obi-Wan the man, not Ben Kenobi, the politician.
He rubs his face. When his hands drop, he catches sight of the flimsiplast nearly buried under the proposal for restructuring the Coruscant Security Forces.
Against his better judgment, Obi-Wan picks it up. The Court. He's heard of it, of course, but he's always had enough lovers that it registered only as a mild curiosity.
Now he's too ambitious, too important, to have the kind of lovers he used to keep. But this, perhaps...
48. Whatâs the last fic you read? Do you recommend it?
@artemisthehuntress just updated her incredible A Revelation Trembles and I am part way through the most recent chapter (although I am being interrupted to go eat pasta). The fic so far is sweet and funny and charming (just like Arty herself!) so yes I do recommend it, wholeheartedly!
49. What are you currently working on? Share a few lines if youâre up for it!
A smutty oneshot (I think, if it gets too long I might split it in half) with slightly sacrilegious overtones. Basically Obi-Wan and Anakin are stranded on a planet and the people there think Anakin is a god. Obi-Wan and Anakin both feel ways about it.
Here's a little excerpt! I don't want to say too much because a friend is going to look it over for me and if she sees the thing I'm worrying about, it will require heavy edits, but
âOur ship wasâŠdamaged,â Anakin says, and Obi-Wan snorts from beside him. Fine, yes, it is in half, but Anakin is technically not wrong. âOur communications were rendered inoperativeââalso in halfâ âand weâre trying to contact Coruscant to request a rescue.â
âIndeed, oh mighty one.â Obi-Wanâs arms are crossed primly over his chest. âWhy donât you tell your new friends why weâre stuck here?â
âNobody told me there were pirates in this sector,â Anakin mutters. âIt was just bad luck, no need to be an ass.â
But the Ruvane before him shakes his head. âWe donât believe in luck.â Huh, Master Mundi would love these guys. âYou were brought here for a reason. The destruction of your vessel, your appearance here: it is all as it is meant to be.â
Obi-Wan tsks. âA shame that the grand design couldnât spare a thought for our comms.â
âIt doesnât help to dwell on these things,â Elos says sagely.
âYeah Obi-Wan.â Anakin grins and nudges against him. âStop dwelling.â
Do the THING. You already know what the THING is. You have been avoiding it for a while now. It scares you. But that's ok. You are bigger than your fear. And you're in the perfect position to be brave.
Ok, so bear with me.... this may be far-fetched, but Mando grabbed the demon-octopus before he saw it. Maybe he is force sensitive, and spending time with Ahsoka Tano will solidify that.
