New Things

Today may as well be recorded in the history books. Yes, it’s just your regular old Wednesday, but it was a day of new things for me!

CUE TERROR ABOUT ADULTHOOD. But, whatever, it’s got a basement bar replete with wood panelling and green carpet, so basically everything I could have ever wanted.

ersonal, I just need to put it out there.

I finished my masters degree program in August of 2013. I had a good job and enjoyed the people I worked with. I tested for my license in social work and passed the test in May of last year. After that I started looking for the “next job” where i needed my license. I thought I found it when I landed a job at a child advocacy center. It was fun for a bit, but I was always in the office, the people I worked with were kind of blah and I ididn’t really love them. I think they could tell because by Thanksgiving I was given the “you gotta do better” talk. That talk turned into you’re fired last week. Baah yuck oh god, I’m going to die. I have no job and I’m just oh god. So I applied for all the jobs I could think of. That was last Thursday. And so Friday I had a training scheduled so I went to that. After coming home i got a phone call from one of the few jobs I applied for. The guy wanted to meet with me that day...not even 24 hours after I left the other place. The interview went fantastic. He was even like “Fill everything out and I will have HR call you.” So, that’s what I do. Do I have the job? I don’t know. Anyway. So I started to apply for even more jobs. I was hoping that it ould come through but whatever if it didn’t. They call me yesterday an say, “Let’s have a phone interview.” So I interviewed with them this morning. And That was great. She said she would call me later in the day to let me know. So she called and WHHHAATTTT? I got the job. Ugh. I am so fucking stoked. It hasn’t even been a week. I think one little bit for next month may be tough, but for the most part things will be okay. 

Side note, while I was riding my bike the other day I saw a sign at a church that said, “God will talk to those who take time to listen.” I truly believe that.
