I don’t know if it’s only me being whiny but the way Emmerdale has Robert wearing his wedding ring without ever being addressed annoys me to no end. Nobody ever asks why he is wearing it four months later? Aaron never points it out? his sister? No Charity mocking him, telling him how lame he is? Lawrence holding his hands while he asks him to fuck him doesn’t have any questions about why he’s still wearing his exhusband’s ring?
And whenever I read a really nice headcanon about how he can’t let go of the ring as the last remain of that moment in his life he was truly happy then I can’t help but to think when he was wearing Chrissie’s. He was 24/7 supporting Aaron through the darkest days of his life wearing her ring??? And we were patiently waiting for Emmerdale to have him taking it off in this great simbolic emotional gesture and it never happened??? One day it was gone and?? that?? was?? the??? end?? of?? it??
I don’t get it. It’s just that they’re lazy? Does Ryan forget to take his off every single day? And no one cares? They made these rings a big deal, the whole proposal, the lake, the second proposal, Aaron puting Robert’s on, Aaron constantly playing with it (ok, maybe that was Danny, still…), Robert taking it out in january, the wedding, Aaron having to remove it for prison, the reveal, Aaron’s giving it back when they broke up…
I know it’s ridiculous but it really upsets me :((((
