Hey, so do you have any ideas on how Zora genetics work? Like I don’t care if its super in depth or anything but the king is a whale (?) and then Sidon is a shark but then Mipha looks like she is a dolphin (with the horizontal set of her tail). Any ideas?
Zora genetics is probably closely related to hylian/human genetics considering they are humanoid versions of sea creatures so i guess its safe to say its similar?
But for Mipha, Sidon, and Dorephan all being different isn’t too weird. For one we don’t know what Mipha and Sidon’s mom is. She could be a shark and that explains Sidon. As for Mipha and Dorephan, whales and dolphins are closely related according to the internet, they’re both under the cetacean family. Plus there’s the fact that one of Mipha’s ancestors (probably a grandparent) could have been a dolphin-zora so that’s where that could come from.
It could also be the opposite. Dorephan could be a whale shark so that’s where Sidon’s own sharkiness comes from. Mipha and Sidon’s mom could be a dolphin and that’s where mipha gets it from.
