Unusually normal post from me, but my headcanons for marauders era character’s animagus forms!!

Obligatory recognition of the canon animagus forms—Deer/Buck, Black Dog (Scottish Deerhound), and rat ^^

Remus - Coyote

Lily - Hoary Fox

Marlene - Hare

Mary - Yellow striped Chevrotain (tiny forest deer)

Pandora - Crane

Evan - Buzzard (bird of prey)

Barty - Opossum (North American)

Dorcas - Caracal (big cat)

Regulus - Black Cat (widely accepted), but my favorite is a Lamb

Lockhart - Houbara Bustard (bird)

If you notice a lot of these are canine, no you didn’t.

Due to a magical accident, Sirius and James accidentally swap Animagus forms. Sirius is now a stag, and James is a dog. Remus, who’s used to Padfoot’s presence during the full moon, has to adjust to a very confused stag trying to comfort him.

How do you and Sirius interact in your animagus forms

Lots of tug of war and curling up next to the fireplace. Also, sometimes Harry will play fetch with us. I can’t help wanting to chase the damn stick in my animagus form and it pisses me off. But it is kind of fun to do. Draco will also play fetch with me if we’re alone.
