My New Obsession: The Ocean
Yesterday, for the first time, I finally... (get ready for this), (its really crazy), (first timer here), STEPPED FOOT IN AN OCEAN!!! Lake Erie who? Sorry, don’t know her! I only associate myself with the Philippine Sea now. She’s a real beauty and let me tell you, she’s cleaner, bluer, and way more inviting.
The sand is hot and clean and get this, SO IS THE WATER! Well, the water is quite warm but it’s not scorching hot like sand is. It was absolutely divine, the whole sea is. It’s beautiful and it’s something I definitely will not get over.
Walking in the shallow areas, you’ll see tadpoles and crabs! Yes, I saw a crab! The first thing I said when I saw one was, “Mr. Krabs!? Hey!” Even though I’m friendly to them, they aren’t too friendly to humans. Nicole and Matthew got bit by one. I was lucky and did not receive a bite; maybe they do like me after all?
We also made a new furry friend while sunbathing and sitting in the water! His name is George and he has never-ending energy! He could run in the ocean for miles and never grow tired! Despite having a personal vendetta towards an anchored ball (for the Sea-Doos), he was so friendly, totally lovable, and he seemed to have enjoyed hanging with all of us. He wouldn’t leave us for awhile! Thankfully his owner was totally chill about it. Had his owner not come over and introduce himself to us, Nicole would’ve stolen George from him!
I also had lots of fun running around with a glorious dog named Luna! She had tons of energy as well and seemed to love chasing me in the water! Let me tell you, I got a really good workout doing that with her.
All in all, I had a great day at the beach. Sitting in the ocean, sunbathing and chit-chatting, taking wonderful photos and videos. It felt like paradise. And if I had fun just laying in the shallows of the ocean, then I’m going to have a real blast snorkeling!
