T_T Thank you! I’ve been really thinking really hard on this fic since late 2014, so that means a lot. There’s like... one thing that’s been stumping me on this fic, otherwise I would’ve finished it long ago. It’s a plot related thing that happens near the end.
That being said, it is Star Trek: Beyond compliant -- so Spock Prime WILL die in the story. Sadly. But I have written a Beyond compliant epilogue for a story after I saw Beyond in the theater a second time. So this story takes place between the end of the first movie to the beginning of Star Trek: Beyond.
I think in some ways it makes the story more poignant and up the stakes a little for the readers. Because even if they do get together, what the hell would Bones do in AOS? How would he handle his death? (Since Spock Prime handled the death of HIS Bones in his timeline.) Who’s to say they wouldn’t get a happy ending despite all that?
Obviously, me, but still. Even I have limits of how far I can go. But what are those limits? You’d have to read.

1. Who takes the trash out?
Spock, it’s probably part of his morning routine.
2. Who reminds the other to take care of themselves?
Spock doesn’t need a lot of reminding, and he expects Bones to remind Jim. They bicker about it often when Jim gets hurt and they’re trying to figure out whose fault that is (usually just Jim’s, but Spock sometimes points fingers at the doctor, and vice versa).
3. Who is happier when they are out in nature?
Jim, so long as there’s people around. Spock likes nature a lot as well, but more in the sense that he wants to study it.
4. Do they like to go in the hot tub together?
Seriously when is this answer ever “no”?
5. Do either of them avidly follow a celebrity and/or fandom?
Bones probably watches the most mindnumbing TV when he has time off. It helps him relax. Jim, too. Spock doesn’t engage in celebrity culture, though he probably follows a lot of famed scientists.
6. Who builds a pillow fort?
Jim. Bones sleeps in it. Spock initially thinks he’s above it, but he’ll sleep in there as well.
7. Who plans the romantic date?
Definitely Bones, but Bones is the simplified romantic. Jim is the extravagantly romantic one with big gestures and exhausting trips. Spock claims he’s not a romantic, but he’ll plan simple dates that include something surprisingly thoughtful, like something he knows Bones enjoys or Jim likes.
8. Who likes to play with the other’s hair?
Jim & Bones @ Spock, who doesn’t like it.
9. Who calms the other down when the other has a nightmare?
I think this is a silent mutual agreement, all three do it for each other. All three have different reasons to have nightmares.
10. Who wants their dog to sleep on the bed with them?
Neither.
11. Who can’t sleep without the other?
Jim, definitely.
12. Who is too nice and will listen to a sales person pitch?
Spock will listen and probably try to argue their sales pitch. Jim will listen because he’s interested in people. Bones will ignore them entirely.
13. Who makes the first move to cuddle?
Usually Jim. Often Bones. Sometimes Spock.
14. What is their go to fast food place?
Probably something Asian because it has more vegetarian options than American. Like a Wok/Stir Fry place.
15. Who likes to wear the other’s sweaters?
Spock because he’s often cold. Bones because Jim leaves his sweaters lying around.

Oh man if only you knew how many dancer!Bones ideas I’ve had over the last few months. So many god damn ideas. Three songs have been at the forefront: Swalla by Jason Derulo (with this choreography, Jojo Gomez is an inspiration) Confident by Demi Lovato (I made up a heels choreography for it XD), and Powerful by Major Lazer (more specifically this choreography by Brinn Nicole). I was also looking at You Don’t Own Me covered by Grace (choreography) but I don’t know. And this swing dancing video.
Just... the idea of Bones moving like that... Hell yeah...
