Magic was not his forte, but to his credit, he was doing quite well regardless. Sure, he got some of the ingredients mixed up a few times, and couldn’t tell an adder from a newt, but he was diligent in his quest. A small smile flitted across your face-- you supposed, after all, that was simply in his nature as a knight. The familiar chink of armor alerted you to his returning presence, metal boots heavy upon the creaking wooden floor of your simple cottage. “This is it, then,” he said, voice heavy with relief of reaching a goal you’ve yearned so long for. But it was also a question. Not just of the ingredients, no, but asking for confirmation. Consent. Moral reassurance. “For the ingredients, yes,” you confirmed, your own voice taking on a strange air and a near-hollow sound, though not fully reflective of your mood. You hesitated. Not for yourself, but for him, your love.
“Are you sure you want to go through with this? Necromancy will leave a stain on soul that can spread if ever you go astray. And a stain, too, on your reputation should it ever be found out.” Gravely you said so, as your voice, as the chill in the air around your thin and light-letting-through form. Your love, your brave knight, took a shaky breath, and it echoed through his helmet. He was hiding within it, you knew, but bravery was not an absence of fear, and certainty was not excluded by its existence. “If I can do this right, I will. It was not your time. And I am confident the stars will agree, and help me on this quest.” It was nearly a mantra. You smile, and he lets your ghostly hand cup his helmet. “When you do this, my form here will disappear,” you tell him. “I have guided you all I can. If this works, you won’t see me. If it doesn’t, the same shall happen.” He nods, solemnly, and it’s poetic in he way he’s knelt upon the ground. “I love you,” he says, just once, before it all begins (and maybe ends). You press your forehead to his, let your essence chill his helmet. “I won’t say it back, my love. I’ll tell you in body when the ritual is complete.” Your knight stands, all business and power, and begins the ritual. And you are, suddenly--
I do not trust any of them.
I only trusted Cook cause they reminded me of my grandparent. But Engineer? Doctor? Captain? Scientist? I don’t trust any of them.
I trust Operator more than them.

Just went to the store to buy my organic produce and ingredients to make bread and such and I had people stare at me because I was wearing my light patrol Armour I commissioned from a friend on deviant art and tell me the dragon con wasn't here. Why do my outfit choices bother you? Just because I'm not one of you shallow humans who adhere to any gender doesn't mean I'm lesser than you :(
trigger warning for guard-kin
Last Morndas (or it might have been loredas) I was patrolling the streets of Anvil. When a putrid stench filled my nostrils, I turned 360 degrees and looked behind me, just in time too for I was faced with a horrible sight: the stench, of course, was a kh*jiit, what's worse, this vile beast was wearing dark brotherhood armor and was seconds away from assassinating me. Well I roared a mighty roar of justice and aprehended him (after telling him to check his privilege of course). Something must be done about filthy sk*oma dealing beastfolk, I was happier when they were slaves.
Greetings fellow guard-kin. Have you ever called the hero of kvatch criminal scum? What is your proudest moment as an imperial guard?
I have yet to meet the hero of kvatch. One day though uwu
And my proudest moment occured during one of my patrols. I heard the cries of a citizen from a short sprint away. I marched as quick as I could (armor is heavy and I’m still getting used to my new set) to a dear lady who had been grievously fatshamed by a cislord starbucks employee. The scum was smoking on his break and this victim solely asked for the person to move so the smoke wasn’t in her face, and he spurted out (trigger warning: fatshaming)
"Not like you care about your health anyways."
I approched the duo and proceeded to break the fiend’s teeth so such an injustice could not be uttered again.
The best part was the nearby officer understood my mission and actually applauded me for doing my part to protect those in need.
This is a relief...
Hello tumblr. I'd like to just introduce myself. I am Aya. And before this website I had no where to express myself... I am a guardkin. I've always associated with the guard NPCs in RPG games and after a goodle search have come to realize I was just born in the wrong dimension...I am trapped in this stupid 21st century female bicurious body but am really an asexual agendered guard meant to protect citizens of a much simpler time. I spend my time playing RPGs but only talking to the guards...like I am one of them. I am adapting my diet so that I eat as they did. I try to wear only cotton clothing or armour when I can...
My friends do not know about me. I came out to my parents and they just laughed at me...they told me I play too much dragonage and skyrim. They just don't get me. This is me. This is who I am.
Thanks to this site I am empowering myself to be who I should be.
