Guess The Colour

It’s the colour I feel on my skin on a clear summer day. It’s the colour of my anxiety as it flashes rapidly through my head. It’s the colour I see just behind my eyelids when I barely have them closed. This colour is at it’s brightest in a room of loud people, and at it’s softest when I wake up surrounded by blankets and light is peaking through my curtains. This colour is one of my least favourites, because despite the good this colour can bring, I associate it with hot anger. Different from normal anger. Hot anger warms your face to the point where the only way to cool it is by screaming something terrible through wet, hot tears. I associate it with the flashes of panic that catch me off guard, that leave me jumpy and on edge.
