what'd be a pleasure to the vulcan beauty would be a privilege like no other to padmé. as the texture of those long, dark strands of hair framing t'pring's gorgeous features met her 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐟𝐮𝐥 hands and soft digits, she couldn't help but welcome a content smile that conquered her plump lips without any further thought. t'pring would deserve nothing less than a moment of peace spent with a someone who cared for her the way she was now — her whole body wrapped up in safety, every single inch of her mortal form relaxed and warm. this lady was just as dutiful as the torchbearer of naboo herself, if not even more so, and the upcoming minutes of pampering were presumably long overdue. ❝ oh, i should be the one thanking you, my dear friend ❞, padmé mused cordially, focusing on the noble task at hand, ❝ i've missed you more than i'd have words for. thank you for making time for these festivities. ❞

earlier, while putting together a fine selection of equipment on the vanity dresser of the bedroom, the senator had chosen a wooden comb with soft, sparse teeth to aid her project that'd ideally have an aesthetically pleasing result. padmé's fingertips brushed the back of t'pring's neck as she gathered and ran the comb through a thick section of hair, tilting her head as a datapad left on the drawer pinged. as the gazes of two met through the mirror, the question rolling from the long awaited visitor's tongue made her chuckle and give the comb another journey through the dark hair. ❝ i think he would, yes ❞, she replied before setting the comb 𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞, dividing some of t'pring's hair into five sections, ❝ i can take a bunch for you to choose from. the afternoon light on the balcony could give the gown a nice glow, don't you think ? ❞

admittedly, padmé had been tempted to say that if stonn wouldn't appreciate receiving a picture of t'pring in an evening gown, that'd make him fool. sometimes it was wiser to know when to 𝐧𝐨𝐭 speak rather than immediately voice the first thought coming to mind. ❝ speaking of stonn ❞, she mused, one braid halfway done, ❝ how have things been between you two ? ❞

"Tactician is not the first word I would use to describe myself, but I suppose it applies."

The ARC Captain held a t'an between his fingers, examining the game piece before slotting it into the puzzle. Though his modus operandi was considered unsophisticated, he was perfectly capable of impressive tactical feats. It suited him just fine, for allowing his enemies to underestimate him was a tactic in and of itself.

"I take it there's more to this game than simply constructing the shape." When his next turn arrived, he placed the piece opposite the first, symmetrically, and watched for the Vulcan's reaction.

Chris had been off duty in his kitchen, deciding to spend his day off trying new recipes and experimenting with old ones. He was in the process of tending to his herbs when the door chime went off, setting down his clippers, he walked over to the door and opened it to see T'Pring. Wiping his hands on his apron he gave her a warm smile, "T'Pring! What a pleasant surprise. Spock had told me you would be coming aboard but I hadn't been sure on when."

He pulled off the dirty apron and smiled as he folded it up. "How can I help you?"

“I  would  not  be  inclined  to  believe  promotional  material,  as  it  is  formed  with  the  intent  of  highlighting  positives  and  frequently  embellishes  in  order  to  convince  someone  that  it  is  the  best  option  or  alternative.”  Spock  responds  promptly,  leafing  through  the  pamphlets  uploaded  to  his  PADD  with  a  curious  eye.  Though  he  supposed  the  point  of  tourism  was  to  promote  destinations,  he  couldn’t  help  but  notice  the  strange  omissions  of  information.  Many  boasted  its  intriguing  flora  and  fauna,  alongside  any  histories  of  fine  art,  architecture,  and  the  likes,  but  would  neglect  to  include  their  histories;  certain  cultures  that  were  rampant  with  their  xenophobia,  or  others  on  the  cusp  of  conflict  with  neighboring  planets.  

“It  would  appear  many  do  not  wish  to  inform  any  potential  visitors  of  the  dangers  they  may  encounter  during  their  travels.  I  do  not  imagine  many  would  research  further.  Perhaps  …  Risa  would  be  the  most  logical  choice.  It  is  a  common  spot  for  vacation  purposes,  and  it  has  a  beach,  as  you  so  requested.”

Sybok didn’t protest and held out his forearm for her. It was inevitable of course, not every Vulcan on Ankeshtan K'til was there for the betterment of their species. Many were there because their Vulcan emotions had over-run them. Lifetimes of repression often meant that when emotions were released they were overwhelming and blinding.

So a fight had broken out and Sybok had tried to part them. It was frustrating believing their species needed to learn to live with emotion so they could be more clearly and openly addressed while also knowing this kind of behavior justified . It was what every Vulcan feared, the reason Sybok and the others were kept here, that emotion would be a return to savagery.

Sybok's brows were furrowed as he glanced over at T'Pring. "How much longer?" He asked wanting to retreat to some private place to meditate and process what happened.
