So I’m attempting to not reblog everything Spring Awakening and I’m failing.

Here’s the thing- nothing will even come close to loving a musical like I do Spring Awakening. Before my computer crashed when I was a senior in high school, it was the most played album on my computer.

It was my first date with my long time boyfriend. It got me through depression. The first song I learned sign language to was ‘Song of Purple Summer’, long before it came to be in Deaf West. I wear my ‘You watch me, just watch me’ bangle almost every day. It literally means the world to me and nothing will come close to it.

I’m so blessed to have Deaf West’s production of it in Los Angeles a few times, every time I had enough money to go see it, I was there, with a handful of tissues to aid me in my pool of tears. The cast was so welcoming to me, and they are literally the most genuine and kind people on the planet and I’m so excited for them to be opening on Broadway tonight.

Spring Awakening is a huge part of my life and I’m not ashamed to say so.
