"The crays weekend getaway!"
Photo set number one:
Location: Nueva Valencia, Dolores, Guimaras.
So my good friends Matt and Mike decided to go to a neighboring island called Guimaras for the weekend and we weren’t expecting much from this place until we went exploring and boy oh boy we were damn wrong! Getting there took us roughly an hour and a half (if you include getting to the resort it’s around two hours) via fastcraft from bacolod city to ilo ilo to guimaras. The place may look like an ordinary small town until we reached the beach area. Jaw dropping rock formations that were similar to that of palawan’s, teal-ish blue waters that’d reflect the bright sun towards our faces, and the whole beach resort being completely empty and all for us made the money worth it. Although the resort we stayed in wasn’t that great we were greeted by a priceless view that would make our vacation totally “sulit” but eh, why complain when you set foot on that beach you could really say that this place is beyond beautiful. Enough talk about the small stuff why go to a beach resort and not swim in it “amirite?” Apparently the town of dolores is teeming with marine life that would make any scuba enthusiasts, snorkelers and the like go gaga! The resort was even really really close to a barrier reef! I myself couldn’t hold my “geekgasm” when i spotted a moon jellyfish (scientifically known as aurelia aurita). The coral reefs were just an awe striking moment when i saw goniopora, acropora and the biggest brain coral I have ever seen, sebae “nems” to my left, cardinalfishes to my right it was just a sea geek galore for me. Every time I gasp for air I let out this squeal of excitement seeing all those corals and fishes! Man i wish i had an underwater camera to document all those to show to you guys! Take my tip; Guimaras is truly, more than the land of mangoes.
