The Italian Air Force maintains a fleet of corporate aircraft it operates on behalf of the government. While the fleet mix has regularly changed over times, the basically civilian aircraft types used for the purpose have consistently been given military serials.
Apart from various business jets, the government fleet also includes airliner-sized VVIP transports, currently in the form of Airbus A319CJ, previously e.g. in the form of McDonnell Douglas DC-9 or even - briefly - an Airbus A340-500.
On a side remark: The Gulfstream III above may be an ageing type of business jet that is mostly gone from the skies by the mid 2020s, but actually the former MM62022 is still current as of 2026, now flying for a private owner in the US as N951XF...
