Rasulullah (Sallallahu Aleyhi ve Sellem) buyurdular ki:

"Eğer siz hiç günah işlemeseydiniz, Allah Teala hazretleri sizi helak eder ve yerinize, günah işleyecek (fakat tevbeleri sebebiyle) mağfiret edeceği kimseler yaratırdı."

İmam Müslim, es-Sahih, Tevbe, 9, (2748);

İmam Tirmizi, es-Sunen, Da'avat 105, (3533)

Buradan (Allah en doğrusunu bilir) anlaşılması gerekenlerden biri şudur; Allah'ın affeden, bağışlayan, rahmet eden gibi sıfatları boşuna değildir. Tek seferlikte değildir. Güneş Batı'dan doğuncaya, can boğaza takılıp çıkmaya hazırlanıncaya kadar; HER İNSAN İÇİN TEVBE KAPISI AÇIKTIR. Velev ki o kişi tevbesini bozup duruyorsa dahi. Kimsenin günahı Allah'ın af ve mağfiretinden büyük değildir. Kimse Allah'ı, kendi nefsiyle bir tutup; bir iki kez hatalara sabredipte sonra senden birşey olmaz tavrına sahip gibi göremez. Eğer bir insandan birşey olmayacaksa, kalbi mühürlenecek kadar kötü tercihlerde bulunup ıslahı mümkün değilse zaten Allah ya belasını verir ya da hiçbir sıkıntı musibet uğratmaz, önüne her yolu açar, her işi rast gider ki azgınlığı ve haliyle azabı artsın.

Birileri kendisine uyarı yapınca alınan, hemen savunmaya geçen ancak başkası hakkında hemen önyargılarını konuşturup kesin hüküm verenler için bir hadis;

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Aleyhi ve Sellem) buyurdular ki:

"Bir adam: "Vallahi Allah falancayı mağfiret etmiyecek!" diye kesip attı. Allah Teala Hazretleri de: "Falancaya mağfiret etmiyeceğim hususunda yemin eden de kim? Ben ona mağfiret ettim, senin amelini de iptal ettim!" buyurdu."
