The End

I (Michael) was hanging out with a guy the other day, and he told me that he was very surprised to see what I was like in person. He told me that he had quite a different perspective of me from afar. That is quite understandable. Who is Michael Gungor anyway? Is he a Christian worship leader? A jade

Gungor feels to us like it’s done what it needed to do. Said what it needed to say.  And now it’s time for something new.  

Of course, this doesn’t mean that we are going to stop making music. Music is a part of who we are, and, like I mentioned, we already have a bunch of stuff recorded that we are trying to figure out what to do with brand and marketing wise. But as for Gungor, we simply don’t feel the need to keep trying to write new stories on the same old paper.

As heartbreaking as this is for me, I’m glad they’re going to keep making music, just under a new project. Gungor was so important to me in high school and college, and it still is. They’ve always been one of my favorite bands.

I literally just went and bought all of their CDs and vinyls to “give back,” in a way. I can’t wait to share their music and harmony with my kids in the future.
