I’m gonna be telling you about THREE KF MY FAVOURITE GUNS. BE READY. I TALK ALOT.

•The FAMAS

-The FAMAS is also known as the “Fusil d’Assaut de la Manufacture d’Armes de Saint-Étienne’ which translates to “Assault rifle from the Saint-Étienne Arms Manufacture" I believe-

-It’s a French gun, given by the name. It’s actually a French bull pup assault rifle. One way to tell it’s a bullpup is by the magazine being located behind the trigger!!

-it was developed in the LATE 1960s and was entered in the French military around 1978 I believe.

-THE CALIBER AHHHHH. It’s a 5.56x45mm NATO. Which is the basic caliber for most modern military rifles

- So fun fact about this! It’s a selective fire rifle. MEANING. It could fire in semi auto or full auto

-I believe it was also featured in a Solid Snake game- it had nothing to do with the lore but due to the FAMAS being kinda Bulky, it was easy to put into the game at the time [I don’t remember the game but it was pretty old.]

• The P90

-The FN P90, often referred to simply as the "P90," is a compact submachine gun designed and manufactured by the Belgian firearms company FN Herstal!!

-CALIBER. The Caliber is a 5.7x28mm. It has low recoil but good penetration capabilities.

-the P90 Is another BULLPUP. I like bullpups- anyways. Like I said, the magazine is behind the trigger which helps for a shorter overall length while maintaining a longer barrel, which can improve accuracy and muzzle velocity.

-It's also another selective firing, so it could so semi or full auto and I find it so AMAZING

-IT CAN ALSO BE configured for left-handed use, thanks to its ambidextrous design. The P90 features controls and features that accommodate both left-handed and right-handed shooters. AHHHHHH.

-The Iron sights on a P90 are so deliciously beautiful. I just. I love.

• The Winchester 1873 Lever Action Rifle

-So this was introduced in 1983, given by the name, and was instantly a success due to its innovative design, versatility, and reliability. It was designed by John Browning, who would later become one of the most influential firearm designers in history!! AAAHHH!!

-The rifle was originally chambered for the .44-40 Winchester cartridge, which was a popular and versatile round that could be used for both rifles and handguns- although, later it was changed. sighs

-The 1873 was equipped with a rear ladder-style sight, which was adjustable for elevation gdhjkfgdsfjgdsfdsh

-So!! Its often associated with the American frontier and is deeply rooted in the history of the Wild West. Its introduction marked a significant advancement in firearms technology dhfhfkhf

The Desert Eagle Gun Rant [queued post]

[i just wanna say I’m writing this at a time where I’m tired so you guys can probably fact check me through my inbox as long as you guys stay nice to me] [I’ve been in a strange little mood recently so I think if I just.. talk, I’ll feel better]

The Desert Eagle is a powerful semi-automatic pistol and it’s known for its large caliber options and distinctive design. The Desert Eagle is often recognized for its appearance in movies and video games :)

Here we go!:

• The Desert Eagle is available in several large and powerful calibers! Which is including .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, .50 Action Express (AE), and even a .429 DE caliber developed specifically for the Desert Eagle. It's actually pretty neat because each caliber is significant in its own way.

• The Desert Eagle features a single-action trigger, which basically means that the hammer must be manually cocked before the pistol can be fired. This can contribute to a lighter trigger pull and potentially improved accuracy.

• It usually holds somewhere between 7-9 rounds :)

• So, depending on what model you have, the barrel length changes. However I do believe the range is somewhere between 6-10 inches

• The Desert Eagle is often equipped with adjustable sights for precision shooting. The rear sight can be adjusted for windage and elevation.

• The Desert Eagle is not typically used for self-defense or concealed carry due to its large size and powerful calibers. However, it is favored for target shooting, hunting (especially in the larger calibers), and as a novelty firearm.

• It's a snazzy pistol with bullets that, typically, would range in rifle caliber bullets.

• References: I'm like.. 70% Positive it was in counter strike, watch dogs, COD, resident evil [2 I think?], battlefield, and also all far cry games [you can correct me if wrong-]

• I do also believe it's a gas operated weapon which is a rare choice to use amongst pistol designs

• So I think this one may be subjective to change depending on what kind of gun nerd you are BUT: I, personally, Like the design and everything but I would never use it. Simple answer being: The recoil is super bad, and it's really fucking loud. Which like, duh Billy, the calibers, but also no thanks BUT very pretty to look at.
