concept: shiro and keith are parabatai. they live in the institute that allura runs along with her godfather, coran (she took over after alfor perished in a particularly grotesque scuffle with some galra demons). hunk and pidge first stop by the institute to accompany matt who wants to introduce his friend, shiro, and since then the two visit very often to hang out and train. lance is keith’s formerly-nephilim werewolf boyfriend who fights alongside him. as time passes they grow closer and closer and become like a little family, fending off dark creatures and rogue downworlders like a well-oiled machine.
concept: keith and lance go to a pride parade. lance is in his home-made baseball tee with the blue, purple and pink sleeves while keith sports a white crop top with “NAH M8” scribbled on it in grey, purple and black ink. a creepy twat tries to come onto lance (“why so greedy? men can satisfy you just fine.”) and keith knocks him tf out. a drag queen invites them to join her on her float. glitter gets into every nook and crevice of their bodies. they go for snowcones afterwards. both feel happy, fulfilled and safe and are overwhelmed with their affection for each other.
lance has started making a habit out of stealing his bf's shirts. more often than not, they go down to his midthighs and will barely hang on to his shoulders. they make him feel small and warm and safe, almost like being in hunk's arms. the first time hunk sees lance in one of his shirts, he becomes so overwhelmed with love and affection that he just. freezes up. and breathes. eyes all doe and big. 'he is my b o y f r i e n d we are d a t i n g i will probably see him like this a g a i n i am d e a d'
just a silly drabble about everyone’s favorite tiny space poof and her first experience with crushes kinda based off of this
the party’s atmosphere is incredibly soothing. soft lights of blue and purple dance slowly along the room filled with sharp-featured fairy-like aliens, and an earthy, floral scent caresses pidge’s senses. she’s draped over something her mind chooses to interpret as a bean bag, though it’s glowy and much gloopier, while she assesses the ‘victory celebration’ with shifty eyes.
allura and shiro are slow dancing in the midst of some faeruans, whilst hunk and keith are talking to a couple of aliens over glasses of eerily bright drinks. lance, as usual, is in a corner with quite a few of the faerua people (both male and female) snuggled close to him, some laughing half-heartedly at a joke while others gaze at him with admiration and intention behind their eyes. pidge snorts to herself when she notices keith staring at lance and lance throwing pouts at keith whenever the other paladin isn’t looking. both of them are dumbutts, she decides. the two airheads spend every waking hour within each others’ presence with only five other people around them, and they haven’t noticed anything? pidge swears that she’ll hook them up herself one day if she has t—
“hi.”
the voice is quiet, tinged with clouds and silk, though not unconfident. pidge pays no mind to it, until someone clears their throat right next to her ear and murmurs a slightly louder, “hello.” when the paladin turns her head, her heart grows puffy little wings and soars into her throat.
the faeruan before her seems much younger than anyone else in the room. they look fourteen, perhaps fifteen in earth years, with mischievous feline eyes the shade of pidge’s lion and pale blue lips. their dark skin seems to glimmer from within, stretched out over an angular face and cheekbones that could cut diamonds, while their hair, a mane of platinum and purple tangled with extraterrestrial flora, cascades freely down their dress-clad back. pidge realizes with a jolt that they’re decked out in the garb awfully similar to queen arsawati’s, ruler of the fae people.
before her is the queen’s daughter, princess agniasari.
“y-your highness!” pidge splutters while straightening up, an obvious warmness spreading from the tips of her ears down to her cheeks. the princess laughs, and the sound reminds pidge of bells.
“please, drop the formalities, paladin. just address me as agnia. and you are pidge, yes?” she says in that voice of hers, smiling. it tickles pidge’s ears.
“oh, um, yeah, i am, your h- i mean!” she giggles nervously and mentally slaps herself up the head. “a-agnia. right. i’m, uh, really sorry. i don’t do too well with new people.” who happen to be drop-dead fucking gorgeous.
agnia laughs once more, though it’s much softer this time. it sounds like wind chimes. “me too, to be honest. it’s just that you looked lonely, and so i thought that perhaps you would enjoy the company of someone around your age.” she tilts her head slightly, like a cat. “you are the youngest of the paladins, are you not?”
“yeah, i am. i’m fourteen,” she replies less shakily than before, though not without a slight quiver.
a few beats of silence pass. pidge bites her lip and prepares a question that she hopes is a suitable conversation starter, but before she can open her mouth, agnia gasps and elegantly smacks her own forehead. “oh gods, i am a forgetful thing! forgive me for just barging in on you like that, paladin, instead of greeting you properly!” she laments.
pidge widens her eyes. greetings must be a crucial part of faeruan culture. “oh, no, it’s fine, agnia! earth people don’t take it too seriously,” she says easily, cracking a grin that she hopes comes off as charming.
“still, i do apologize frivolously. though, paladin, would you mind if i greet you now? in the fae way, of course.” agnia is leaning down slightly, and it occurs to pidge how much taller the princess is. she looks to be about keith’s height, perhaps slightly shorter.
pidge furrows her brows curiously. “um, no, i guess. it’s fine-”
mutant butterflies swarm in every nook and cranny of pidge’s stomach, and her blush returns, much more intense than before, crawling down her face to her neck, because oh god agnia is kissing her cheek.
the princess’s lips feel cool and smooth against her skin, and her silky hair tickles the shorter girl’s nose. the kiss lasts for only a second, and when agnia pulls away, pidge’s face feels like its on fire. it probably is.
“wow,” she murmurs under her breath, eyes doe and glazed. agnia has that glint behind her deep green irises again, odd and adventurous. she smiles sweetly and opens her mouth but before she can say another word, the queen calls her name. pidge releases a breath she didn’t know she was holding.
“it’s been a real pleasure, pidge, but duty calls. may we meet again.” the princess bows shallowly and sends one final grin to pidge, before turning on her heel and sauntering to the other end of the room, her dress flowing gracefully behind her.
“woo! pidge got some game!” a familiar voice yells obnoxiously. the green paladin swiftly turns to lance, who has the smuggest grin on his stupid little face and a pretty faeruan boy at his hip. she absentmindedly notes keith glaring at the alien.
“shut up, lance,” pidge fires back, rolling her eyes. “it was nothing, just a normal faeruan greeting. plus, she’s the princess. she probably doesn’t have time for that kind of stuff.” much to her disappointment.
“how would you know that?” lance retorts, at the same time the fae boy lets out a confused noise.
“greeting? we normally just shake hands like you earthlings do,” he says , doe red eyes narrowing.
pidge furrows her brows and glances over her shoulder, just in time to see agnia catch her gaze and shoot her a wink.
she decides that she doesn’t want princess-y duties and long distance to get in the way of this.
