Did you guys know there are two writing systems for Punjabi, one is called Shahmukhi, which is the arabic/persian inspired writing system and the other one is Gurmukhi which is more like hindi/sanskrit. Of course the Pakistani Punjab uses shahmukhi , since it's related to Arabic and Pakistan is a Muslim country. While Indian punjabis used gurmukhi. There are letters in punjabi that urdu alphabet doesn't have. Like nn, the letter used in the word nana (taking shower). It's a bit sad to think that I didn't even know about it since I only know the urdu version. But in older Shahmukhi punjabi , that letter actually exists and it's like a nun ن but instead of a dot it's has this top detail instead: ٹ .
