I think why that post was saying was even the so called "assholes" deserve support and empathy not just the nice mentally I'll people no one is asking you to love anyone unconditionally or put your neck on the line it's saying everyone, even if violent, deserves support and to be treated with the same respect to their disorder not to just be called an asshole and pushed away because they can't control themselves any more than any other mentally ill person.
Yes. This is true. Everyone should be treated with the same respect and support, mental illness or not. hell, especially the people with mental illnesses need support and love because they don't get it often because there is no information or common knowledge about common mental illnesses.
The problem with that post that you need to identify is the words they use.
they chose not to use medication (which, agian, is only ONE option).
they chose not to get help.
the person who is supporting them does not have to continue doing that if the person who has the mental illness is acting violent or rude towards them.
that was my point.
