Sharing the Wrong Girl by Guy New York -- Erotic Book Review.
I was finally able to read Sharing the Wrong Girl by @quickienewyork with my girlfriend, Eva. And it transformed our calm, relaxing night into a wild, exciting one.
We were pulled in from the first page. The premise alone got us excited in a dirty, taboo-type way: A man named Henry, who is probably in his 40′s, has volunteered to drive his best friend’s daughter, Lisa, to college. And she’s 20 years old. And... uh... yeah.
The sexual buildup was our favorite part of the book and we found it extremely intriguing and exciting. It’s written from Henry’s point-of-view which was a great choice. His inner dialogue is very realistic and honest, and oftentimes laugh-out-loud hilarious (”I had a feeling that any amount of honesty would simply lead to bad things. Glorious bad things”).
The book is full of intrigue and it has that irresistible, sexy, slippery slope that every human being finds themselves in at one point or another in their life. You know the one -- where you might know what you’re doing is bad, it’s wrong, but you just can’t fucking stop. Yeah. It’s such an amazing feeling, and this book has it.
It struck particularly close to home for Eva and me because she’s my best friend’s sister. It brought back great memories of us sneaking around and was very nostalgic for us. So thanks for that, Guy.
As for kinkiness in the book, both Henry and Lisa have their own kinks, and they are perfectly matched to intertwine wonderfully. Each one doesn’t know quite how dirty the other is until they find themselves barreling towards an extremely depraving, dirty sexual conclusion.
The book took us about 2 and a half hours to read, but that’s because I was reading it out-loud with Eva, and we had a lot of... “breaks.” If you were reading it alone it’d probably take you 1 hour to 1.5 hours. Pretty short compared to other books, but it’s the longest story I’ve read from Guy New York.
Random Tidbits:
* Eva and I laughed out loud a couple times. Sometimes because of what the narrator/Henry was thinking, and other times just by the sheer incredulity of what was going on.
* As “crazy” and “fake” as it might seem, I know people who are like these two characters. I love the kink-representation that is featured here. They are real, valid people with valid sexual needs.
* (Slight spoilers) As confident as Lisa is, I like that she slowly loses control of herself as the book goes on. She loves the crazy stuff and loves being a slut, and showing herself off, but as the story unfolds she just wants to know if she has pleased Henry. I thought that was very well done. Very natural and organic. When she seeks Henry’s approval my girlfriend let out an “Aww.” Underneath her slutty, sexually-liberated shell is a little girl who just needs love and approval. I love that.
* Both Eva and I recalled reading an excerpt of this book in the short-story collection “MMF” by Guy New York. There’s a very funny, witty line that stuck out to us that we both remembered. So it was great to read full, expanded story of the excerpt we’d already read weeks ago.
* Guy New York: I will never invite you to spend the night with me and my girlfriend, but your words are certainly always welcome. Hah.
Bottom line:
It’s fun, it’s sexy, and it’ll take your sexual mind on an adventure.
Read it if you like crazy, filthy erotica.
Skip it if you want a more traditional, “innocent,” romance story.
Edit: ~2 hours after I posted this review, this comment was made:
“We make a point never to be alone...”
Tell me ! Worthwhile ?

What is love ?
“Sometimes I think you’re selfish,” she said.
“Sometimes I think you’re scared,” I replied.
“Do I really seem scared to you?”
“Not for a second. Do I seem selfish?”
“Never.”
