joseph wasn't the type to typically spend his nights out, especially at a party, but when the other invited him he couldn't bring himself to turn them down; he didn't want to disappoint. shockingly, the party proved to be fun-- more fun that either of them had likely bargained for. locked in a game of truth or dare, everyone spilling their secrets or challenging their friends with outlandish dares, joseph almost made a mess of things when he was asked to truthfully explain to everyone what he thought about his friend; the man he came with. rather than simply stating they were friends, he assumed the game required more so he admitted to every fantasy and every illicit thought he had about the man-- and there were plenty. thankfully, rather than being appalled, the group seemed to love it. so much so that a few rounds later joseph was dared to get on his knees for him-- but the game quickly dissolved after that, something about someone bringing out shots, so he never got to finish the dare.
wandering around the party after the group dispersed, joseph stepped out onto the back deck and took a deep breath as he settled into the darkened, cool night air. walking forward to lean against the railing, he realized he wasn't the only one that needed to cool off and catch their breath as he noticed his friend leaning up against the side of the house.
"sorry about that in there, if i embarrassed you," he mumbled, "but i meant every thing i said. i think about you a lot." nodding his head softly, and shrugging his shoulders, he turned to face the man; lingering against the railing. "honestly? i wish the game had kept going," maybe it was the drinks he already had or the game itself that emboldened him, he wasn't sure, but rather than simply talking about it he pushed off the railing and walked right up to him.
"i never got to do my last dare," he whispered as he slowly began to drop to his knees in front of the other; looking up at the man as he settled on his knees before finally letting his gaze cast down to the zipper of his pants.
"may i?"
