I play several different instruments (not well, this is a "quantity over quality" situation), and I've been taking a break from violin recently to refocus on guitar after a long hiatus. This is an Eiro Nareth song that has been giving me a devil of a time this past week. I know my phone mic didn't pick up the volume too well, but this was my best take out of [NUMBER REDACTED] tries, so I'm not doing it again.

It’s World Violin Day, so here’s me struggling for my life through an excerpt of the Portnoff Concertino in A minor. Obviously if it sounds bad it’s the phone’s fault and not mine because I’m awesome. :P

Andrew got me a banjo for my birthday, which is a whole other beast compared to anything I’ve played before and requires a bunch of mental gymnastics. The issue is that the strings aren’t tuned in neat, consistent intervals like you’d see on a violin or guitar, and the string “closest” to the player has the highest pitch, which is super confusing. Anyway, enjoy my face journey as I muscle my way through Sally Goodin.
