so in my tarot themed dnd game the dm did a tarot spread for my character as like a way for her mom (who is a divination wizard) to convey a complicated message about a bunch of exposition and shit and one of the cards in the spread was the reversed nine of swords

bb gurl has been through a lot, like more than i would have expected (more than the dm would have expected we didn't see one of those curveballs coming), but i as a player really want to be done with that particular curveball. the nine of swords when reversed symbolizes moving on from a sorrow, the light at the end of a dark tunnel.

part of the general healing old wounds was getting in touch with her dad and learning all this stuff about that part of her family, and deciding that she was gonna claim this dynastic role of the raven queen church that USED TO only get passed down to men in the family.

now she's gonna take over and fuck up the whole system but in a way that makes it so no one has to deal with it alone the way her dad did, and make people like her feel left behind. she's felt abandoned her entire life and because of that she's gonna make sure no one (within her power) ever feels that way living or dead.

she's also got a fucking cool scythe weapon now >:)
