Throwback Thursday: Barb Clanton ‘84 wrote to Ambitious Amazons, the publishers of Lesbian Connection, on November 19, 1983. In her letter, she noted a change in the organization representing lesbian students at Princeton to “Gay Women of Princeton,” a reflection of their decision to break away from the Gay Alliance of Princeton. She also noted she was sending $2 in response to the request the magazine had made. In the winter 1983 issue of Lesbian Connection, the Ambitious Amazons had asked readers to send $2 each to help them buy a computer, since “We’re being buried by paperwork and bookkeeping, and a computer is our only hope.”
