🖤 What’s the darkest “we’ll never tell anyone” thing they’ve done together?
Gwynlin 👀👀👀
Okay so tough one because I‘m biased and Gwyn is my super perfect wonderful angel baby and everything she could do is absolutely warranted and morally correct BUT:
I can see Gwyn going down a darker path with her religiousness; maybe she practices some dark super forbidden magic in order to be able to defend Prythian against Koschei and/or the Asteri. Obviously, as High Lord of Spring Tamlin cannot at all be engaged in anything of the sort because he is the land so that would have to be kept under a tight lid. Not to say he would be against it — if it‘d able to save his people I believe he’d do almost anything, so that‘s that.
Remembering this is my blog and I can post whatever I want: Oh yeah I‘m gonna be really annoying about Gwynlin today
Today on the menu we have: Modern Au headcanons
They meet at the Neris wedding, Tamlin sulking in some corner because he has to socialize when Gwyn begins pestering him to dance (they’re both socially awkward, just in wildly wildly different ways)
He‘s done for after one (1) dance
The second time they meet for game night a few months after the wedding
Eventually Gwyn is the one to ask him out after he eyes her all night (or maybe Lucien tries to get them involved?)
Tamlin takes her out to some super fancy rich people restaurant on their first date; she hates it, he hates it — the portions are tiny, there’s a lot of people and the food isn’t even that good but they both act like it’s fine because it seems like the other is having fun
Afterwards he drives her home and eventually, with a lot of laughter, it turns out they both despised it (That’s probably where he starts falling in love)
The second date they go on is at a downtown karaoke bar Gwyn frequents with Nesta, Vassa, Elain and Emerie although she’s rarely brave enough to actually get up on stage; at some point Tamlin works up the courage to sing one song, trying his best to act all tough while he’s on the very verge of a mental breakdown (he is not a good singer), he also nearly has an aneurysm when Gwyn starts singing
Tamlin is absolutely insufferable about her once they start dating in earnest: As we learned or at least as how I like to interpret it his love language is gift-giving, naturally whenever he sees something Gwyn would like he buys it
At some point Gwyn‘s small apartment is overflowing with books he bought to the point she takes it as an excuse to move in with him
It takes a long time for them to be entirely comfortable with physical intimacy, the first few tries ending in mostly tears and some very important conversations (he’s trying his best to communicate as much as he can)
Gwyn also convinces him to start going to much needed therapy
