Getting back to the clinic Amy immediately got out of Sonic's arms and started to walk into the clinic without saying a word to anyone. Jane who had watched as an enraged pink hedgehog walked right past her saw a blue one approached her with tiredness shown in his eyes.
"We can't protect them Jane, I'm going to tell Knuckles everything." He confessed, Jane's eyes widening as she immediately shook her head.
"You can't! What if he decides to tell Tails and everyone?"
"I'll tell him he can't do anything to them."
"What if he doesn't listen?"
"Whatever the problem is I'll deal with it Jane." He said as he began to get ready to run off until he heard Jane sighed, he turned around to look at her.
"You're right... we need a solution..." she said as Sonic simply nodded.
"Are you okay?" He asked, Jane nodded and turned around immediately walking right back into the clinic. Sonic began to run off as the words of Amy kept coming to him.
"It was just me you didn't want to commit to."
He sighed as he picked up his speed, he never wanted a commitment. He wasn't married to Sally because he loved her more than Amy. He loved them equally, he just made.... a mistake. He quickly shook his head at the thought of having called his soon to be daughter a mistake.

It had been a cold lonely night when Sonic came back to his empty shack. He sighed as he looked around, despite having been one year and half of Amy being gone Sonic couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness. Thankfully he didn't have to spend the night alone as Sally joined him, she smiled at him.
"You alright?" She asked him, Sonic smiled and nodded.
"Yeah I'm fine." He replied as he walked over to his kitchen. "Can I get you some water?" He asked, Sally nodded as she walked around his shack until she stopped by the window where she saw a picture of Amy, she picked the frame and smiled sadly as a tear begin to roll down her cheek. Sonic wasn't the only one who missed Amy, Sally and her had been bestfriends ever since they met when Sally first came to hedgehog village. They would go shopping together, go to their weekly spa sessions, go hiking, beat Eggman's robots together, they were almost inseparable. When Amy was killed in battle Sally couldn't help but feel like a piece of her died along with the bubbly pink hedgehog. Sonic approached Sally with a glass of water, he immediately noticed Sally's tears and sighed as he set the glass of water down.
"Hey now..." he whispered as he began to hug her tightly.
"You're not the only one who's missed her you know? You just have to know that, we have to move on. I mean we did everything we could and we could not bring her back..." Sally looked up at Sonic and nodded softly.
"You're right, Amy wouldn't want to see me like this anyways..."
"Exactly! She would've wanted everyone to be happy, like she always was. So full of love and life."
Sally smiled as she listen to Sonic's words, she couldn't help but let out a small laugh while still in his arms as she looked up at him.
"What's so funny?" He asked as he looked down at Sally.
"It feels strange being hugged, I haven't been hugged in such a long time you know?" Sonic smiled softly, he knew exactly what she was talking about considering he only ever let Amy hug him tightly and in such a warm way. He always felt happiness in Amy's arms and as wrong as it felt, he began to feel that warmth when Sally was in his arms. He began to lean into her, she began to close her eyes until finally their lips met. When they pulled away, Sonic quickly let go of Sally who looked away from Sonic.
"I uh well..." Sonic was at loss of words, he didn't know what to do considering he had just kissed his dead girlfriend's bestfriend. Sally couldn't even look in his direction, she felt guilty she had kissed her bestfriend's boyfriend. The hedgehog her bestfriend would always speak to her about and always told she loved. Sonic simply cleared his throat and ran away, once he was out of sight Sally walked to the entrance of his shack then turned to look at the picture of Amy. She sighed and began to walk out of Sonic's shack.

Sonic stopped in his tracks when he had approached Tails workshop, he sighed as he walked in and watch Knuckles flip through some medical reports Tails had stored. Tails smiled when he saw Sonic though when he noticed Sonic's expression his smile faded away immediately noticing his bestfriend's disgust at the red echidna still being around.
"I told him to go back to Angel island but he wouldn't listen. He said there is something fishy going on." Tails whispered as Sonic nodded.
"There is something going on..."
"What is going on Sonic? I can't help you if you don't tell me whats going on." Tails replied as he looked at Sonic concern. Sonic remembering Amy's wish of him not telling Tails anything came back into Sonic's head.
"I'll tell you later Tails..." he replied as Tails simply watched him walk towards Knuckles who was still looking through some papers. Sonic approached him and cleared his throat, Knuckles immediately turned around to look at him.
"Sonic..."
"What are you doing Knuckles?"
"Well the damaged at the cementary... someone fixed it... I spoke to the mayor and he wasn't even aware of-"
"I did it."
"I figured... why did you do it Sonic?" Knuckles turned to look at Sonic, he crossed his arms.
"If I tell you I need to know that I can trust you. If I tell you this you can't tell anyone else." Sonic said as he looked at Knucles, the echidna was confused but curious.
"Sonic did you do something against this village regulations?"
"No its nothing like that..."
"Okay then what is it like?"
Sonic sighed as he looked away for a split second before turning to look at Knuckles, he finally managed to get some words out and begin to speak.
"The damaged at the cemetary was caused by people who came out of their graves. Came back from the dead, one of them was Amy. Our friend Amy." Sonic said, Knuckles' eyebrows furrowed as he then shook his head.
"Amy? You really believe this?" He asked, he didn't believe this for a second but he knew Sonic would never joke about something this serious.
"Its true." Sonic reassured him, Knucles sighed as he put a hand on Sonic's shoulder and looked at him.
"Sonic why don't you just lay down-"
"Knuckles I'm not crazy! I know how this sounds but its all real I'm not crazy..."
Sonic stormed out, he began to run to the clinic leaving Knuckles in shock and cursing under his breath.

Getting back to the clinic Sonic tried to open the door but it was locked. He sighed as he began to knock on it, yet no body opened nor responded. He began to have a look around and noticed it was empty, he bought his communicator up to his mouth and began to dial Jane who wouldn't pick up. Sonic kept looking around the clinic knocking on the windows and peeking in hoping to see anyone but when he didn't get any response he called Jane once again, at last she answered.
"Sonic?"
"Where are you?" Sonic demanded to know, he waited for Jane to answer and after a few seconds he heard a sigh then a response.
"Don't worry they're with me they're okay" Jane replied, though Sonic wasn’t done questioning her.
"Where?"
"Somewhere safe..." Jane looked at Amy then at the other who were busy exploring and looking around the small barn area.
"Amy is my girlfriend! Bring them back!" Sonic yelled, Jane’s whisper got a bit louder as she replied to Sonic.
"This is to important to be left to Knuckles and Tails!"
"Well I told Knuckles, this is more important to me than to anyone."
"Are you kidding? This event could transform biological science!"
"Oh so what is this just a big fucking expirement to you Jane?"
"No Sonic, they're my patients and its my duty to protect them."
Jane hung up, Sonic sighed as he he clenched his fists.
"JANE!" He called out.

Jane sighed as she began to walk towards the others.
"This place belonged to my aunt and uncle, there should be some extra clothes in the cupboards and some places to sleep in. I'll bring some food in, you'll be safe in here." She said as Espio looked at her walking around exploring the place.
"Safe from what?" He asked, Jane smiled as she watched them explore.
"Safe from anyone and anything that tries to harm you guys."
