One mouldy mushroom on the log. These are from my visit to Kyoto in 2016. Probably one of the rust-gills - Gymnopilus, but I never did get a solid id.

Laughing Jim / Spectacular rustgill (Gymnopilus junonius) 

This mushroom is commonly called ‘laughing Jim’ or ‘laughing Jack’ for its hallucinogenic properties, while its Latin name comes from Juno, the Roman goddess queen.
