I'm in love with this little freak btw
Bligh Street, Gympie, Queensland.
I’ve only had Gympie for a day and a half but if anything happened to them I’ll kill everyone in that association and then myself
I like the fact that Otogori recognizes Yor's strength, even though her idea of strength is something hemay never understand. And I liked that Gympie tried to patch things up between the two of them, and that she was jealous of Yor because she can be in a relationship because of her body. Yor tries her best to express her feelings, but she struggles, and I understand that. It's not easy to say or explain. At first, Loid thinks about ending the marriage contract, but he also sees it as practical for his mission.
But we know that he is attached to Yor but cannot be honest with himself. He is a spy, and if the enemies discover that Yor is his weak point, they would attack her and even Anya and Bond. And Loid could never forgive himself for that! Yor is more honest about her feelings, so I think she will be the one to confess her feelings for Loid. Because Yor wants to know what Loid truly wants, as she wants Loid to earn his place in her life and vice versa.
What's more, my friend realized something about these two:
In Yor's case, death is literally her job, but the fact that she was doing it to secure a future for her brother meant that she still retained a connection to her humanity despite the nature of her work. Yes, she kills her targets, but she cares about those close to her, and that allows her to maintain a certain honesty with herself.
Loid is paradoxically the more complicated case of the two, because his flashback clearly shows that loneliness was literally his only companionship and that, in practical terms, all he knows how to do is imitate social bonds, unlike Yor, who is more natural in this area, if we stick to hiq explanation about her. For him, relationships are above all tools to carry out his mission, and Stryx is literally his first long mission, so forming sincere relationships blocks him because he will think above all about the pragmatic and practical side and not the emotional aspect, or very little, it's a very recent approach and precisely because his cover is that of a psychologist, this reinforces the “artificial bonds” aspect, because intimate bonds confuse him. Even putting the mission aside, he is almost incapable of thinking about himself because he has conditioned himself to think about a “greater” goal, and strangely, this makes him a coin whose other side is, ironically, Desmond.
And in itself, it makes sense, even becoming a spy is to prevent children from going through what he went through, to keep them smiling. But that too is a goal that can be described as “greater.” I think that if Yor asked what Loid really wants, he would have a hard time answering.
Code name: Gympie
D. moroides and D. excelsa. Known colloquially as the gympie gympie (from the Gubbi Gubbi/ Kabi Kabi name for the plant, gimpi gimpi), gympie stinger, and giant stinging tree (D. excelsa), this plant has the dubious honour of being arguably the most painful plant in the world.
The stinging plant is usually found in Australian rainforests and Indonesia.
Every part of the plant is covered in silica hairs which act like hypodermic needles. If touched, they inject a venom which causes excruciating pain that can last for days, even months.
this would only happen if Gympie were 20 at least
