How did I start AV Design Studio
Before I start this post I would like to explain the meaning of an industrial designer. Industrial design is about creating an object/product. To be commercially successful, its physical presence and symbolic meaning typically need to fit with the craft and economics of the industry of which it is a part, whether it’s a candle holder, watch, car, a mobile phone or a kitchen gadget.
It wasn't always like that, designers were routinely handed a piece of technology as is and asked to wrap it with a beautiful layout. The designers were not in the process of the interface or software of the product and were usually told to minimize the effects of the exterior from the object's guts. The product was 95% defined, physically, before the designer ever saw it.
As we moved on to current days, more and more companies understand the importance of the look and feel of every product, not only the capabilities of the product. Many studies on product's packaging were conducted in the last few years, and they show that we as clients buy the packaging of a product before we even understand the essence of it.
