It's bloody miserable and cold. The chill clings to Serendipity, even after the door to the inn closes. He hardly hears anything spoken between his companion and the innkeep -- or, rather, doesn't care to listen in. He focuses instead on the warmth of the fire, trying to warm his hands. Trying not to shiver too pitifully in front of the inn's few patrons.
When the door to their room for the night is opened, the prince is nearly overcome with sweet relief. He sets his bag down, and starts to unclasp his cloak, when he pauses. Notes the sole bed in the room.
