We’re long past Valentine’s Day, but we’re more than happy to accept a valentine from Liverpool three piece HAARM, who’ve delighted us with their fusion of electro tinged trip hop and pop in the past. Jaunty new single Valentine arrives with much percussive rolling energy after HAARM’s prior singles have gone viral, racking up over 250K plays on Spotify in but a few months. Valentine will surely continue this trajectory with its spacey synths and contagiously peppy rhythm. Commenting on the track, the band said: “The song is about a purely sexual relationship, but there’s always that one person that wants it to become something more – it’s a classic unrequited love story. We like to open up with this one when we play live, so we made sure it was our first song at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend and on the Bloc Party support dates.” HAARM will be playing their first ever headlining hometown show on October 13th at The Magnet in Liverpool. Their new single will hit the shelves on September 15th.
