Oh my god you still have snow? We’ve been having 25-30C all week…
We usually have snow at least until the beginning of April. Sometimes longer. Winter is definitely our dominant season up here.

I don’t know what happened (and don’t want to know) but teeeeeeeeechnically it’s still Pesach through the coming Monday, which is Second Pesach; yesterday was First Pesach. Judaism is “occasionally” complicated.
Fixed it. This is what I get for posting after brushing my teeth and/or relying on the New York Times Recipe e-mails I get for information on holidays. (Side note: Hope you’ve got my politics stuff blacklisted, ‘cause yeah. I think I reblogged that one twice, once with explanations of... certain phrases. Not pretty.)

Wait OMG it’s up already?!?! Why did I think it was the 7th?
YES IT AIRED YESTERDAY EVENING!!!!!! I'm looking forward to your thoughts, because ARGH on the parental figures, and also Jace and his CPTSD are going to reach new levels.

Salt and tylenol. I know ibu is usually for muscle pains, but this sort of shit *without* a trigger or a fever? That might be the brain acting up (mood disorders would do that), and tylenol (=acetaminophen, =paracetamol) is best first-aid for that.
It’s a good thing I bought Theraflu and Cup-a-soup on my way home, then. I keep thinking, “Well, but I didn’t do this last year” and then I have to keep reminding myself that last year I wasn’t working six-day weeks and driving forty minutes to work each way, so last year is not really a comparable situation.
Not to mention all the other stressors going on right now that weren’t happening last year. So I guess a brain meltdown would about make sense.

This is beginning to sound like active depression, whiiiiiiich is a common complication of everything ELSE you have going. If that's the case, a talk-therapist (not someone who's strictly CBT) is a damn good idea. Alt. - did you have a med increase? If so, considering dialing it back down, and you need a doc who's NOT a GP.
That really wouldn’t surprise me in the least. I might be able to get a therapist, but I’m fairly certain that isn’t covered by my insurance, nor do I have the money to pay for one.
I have not been for my next doctors appointment. I quite simply have not had the time or a way to get there, so my meds are exactly the same as they have been since early this year. And at this point, it looks like I won’t be able to go to my next one until late December. So I’m more or less at a standpoint as of the moment.

The meds one isn’t ASD-specific - I’m non-ASD and I sure have it. It’s whatever enzyme variants your liver has (genetic) plus your gut flora (somewhat inherited, huuuuuuuge environmental/personal history weight).
none of those are meant to be asd-specific- i’m sorry if that was a bit unclear. i did tag the post to land in the asd tag, because most people that i know having these issues are autistic- and the spd tag is also used for some personality disorders.
i was talking about sensory issues and stuff like that in general. there is, however, an autism-specific issue with how meds will affect autistic people. i don’t have any articles on hand right now- but i could definitely find some once i get some more spoons if you’d like me to. and yes, gut flora and enzyme variants definitely play a part. and so do genetics- although usually it’s more a case of personal brain chemistry when it comes to psychiatric medication and stuff like that.
so to clarify to anyone else reading, hypo- or hypersensitivity to medications and their side effects is not necessarily an autism thing- although most autistic people seem to have that issue. (at least a higher rate of autistic people than allistic people from what i’ve experienced.)

Point.
Although in my mind it was more about the itch being unreachable than what stuff was causing it. But still, point :D
