We know what happened Dunheely... but what do you think in your opinions happened to Gwendal and Wolframs fathers?
This wasn’t mean to be so long, but here you go~!
So oviously I’m going totally in the blind there, since we don’t have much of anything on them.
Unlike Dunheely, there’s neither any mention of them. No one is worried about them, and there’s no sadness shown or any event.
Gwendal being the oldest brother, his father should be older than both his brothers’ fathers. Which is why I think Gwendal’s father has been dead for a while, before Cheri met Dunheely; and I’ll go as far as say Gwendal’s father died of old age or if it’s not natural death, some time before Cheri meets Dunheely.
Cheri has already had time to grieve, and at worst Dunheely recomforted her at the beggining of their relationship. In any case, Gwendal’s father had a good life, and his death has already been accepted.
It is Wolfram’s father that I think is more complicated.
Waltrana is the head of the Bielefeld family, so it’s likely that Wolfram’s father is dead-or so you can first think. Unless Wolfram’s father was never the head of family and Waltrana had always been the head, which in this case might mean Waltrana is the older brother. And maybe Waltrana is the older brother, because otherwise, wouldn’t Wolfram inherit the family headship?
Or Waltrana is protecting Wolfram in his own way. But I think, if Wolfram really had inherited the headship from his father, there would have been more problems. It might have been something resolved before Yuuri came, but I’m going to headcanon here and say Waltrana is Wolfram’s father’s older brother.
And it constructs a logical connection, as maybe as the younger brother of the Bielefeld Head, he went to the castle as representative. And met Cheri. They fall in love, and have Wolfram. But Wolfram’s father is not seen when Conrad is send off with other Half Mazoku. Which lead us to believe he either died or left before.
Thing is, if Wolfram’s father really died… Wolfram is not that old compared to other Mazoku. If is father died, wouldn’t he be mentioned by the time we have glimpses of the war? Unless Wolfram’s father was really old and died of old age (which I somehow doubt), he would have died by sickness or being killed.
So unless the subject is so sensitive that no one talks of Wolfram’s father… What if he never died? What if he left at some point? And he’s never talked about because either he’s a sort of bitter memory because of something he did (and might have caused him to leave), or on the contrary he left to accomplish something, and so people simply think of him in private?
Like, thinking before bed ‘I hope he’s doing fine’.
If we go with the idea of Wolfram’s father leaving because he did something bad, what if it was exactly this-being the father of Wolfram. Maybe for some reason, he wasn’t supposed to be Cheri’s lover, or maybe he never meant to have a child. And so he was asked to leave, or left on his own.
If we go with the idea he left for a quest or something, since Cheri seeks her true love, maybe Wolfram’s father and her agreed to consider their relation finished before he left. And Wolfram’s father is never mentioned because everyone respect the fact it might make Cheri and Wolfram sad. But at the same time, to them Wolfram’s father is simply travelling somewhere.
I would be amused if Cheri so called quest for love had started so she could find where Wolfram’s father had gone.
In summary, my own opinions and headcanons is that Gwendal’s father has been dead for a while; while Wolfram’s father is very likely alive but left for one reason or another.
