I'm genuinely curious: what are your thoughts on the entire 'chucking Ashley in hagcest scenarios'?

Do you mean in TCOAAR or in Hagscest in general? In TCOAAR, I'm not really happy with the way Ashley is handled, but it's not my story to tell so I don't make a big stink out of it.

As for Hagcest in general, I can't cuck my girl like that. With the exception of Three's Company (which is Ashley x Andrew x Renee), all of my Hagcest fics have Andrew as an only child.

I Chuck Cunningham'd (kudos to you if you got that reference) Ashley because I can't make myself write a story where Andrew would willingly pick Renee over Ashley. That and, honestly, I think it makes the Hagcest a bit more spicy if Andrew was an only child, especially if the scenario has Renee's marriage to Douglas crumbling and she turns to Andrew for emotional comfort since he's the only other person in the apartment.
