My AU Of The TCOAAR Mod

despite everything i still have a lot of genuine respect for tcoaar because it kind of helped revitalize this fandom when it was on the verge of dying because there was literally nothing to talk about + the sincere passion put into it but also holy fuck it's such a frustrating mod because like.

sometimes it has great understanding of Renee but those are sparkled inbetween things instead of being consistent

like i think the best scene in chapter 1 by far was during the confrontation in the Lady's apartment and while the first half of the scene was ass because Renee would not act like that the second half was fucking goated with Renee basically immediately mentally shutting down Andrew with guilt tripping him and then further gaslighting him

and it's persisted into chapter 2. like. tcoaar sometimes has these moments of brilliance where it has a terrific understanding of Renee and Andrew, that due to the circumstances of the AU Andrew is no longer exactly the same (this never would have worked in canon tcoaal for example) and how they would react and Renee's shade of abuse that would be inherently different than any of Ashley's games, so there's these moments where it's peak right

but then that doesn't really account for the majority of the time. because it has to follow the plot of the game the end result is that most of the time Renee needs to be Ashley But Milf. at which point it's like why not just make an AU where Ashley is a few years older and how that plays with the dynamic. but i digress.

this is not shade at anyone this is just my personal two cents if you still like it then great but to me like... tcoaar is so frustrating bc it has these moments where it's peak and i think those moments are really amazing but they're scattered throughout the story instead of being consistently good

What I truly think of the Coffin of Andrew and Renee Mod...

Tw: Incest

I know I'm late, but here we go. So, I said it before in another person's post, and I'll say it again. I really like the story way more than canon, and even the gameplay is fun. No hate on canon. I love that game so much. BUT (there is a but) you can totally tell the mod was just wanting an excuse to see Andrew and Renee have sex in different ways (gross). I'll explain.

So the good thing about the mod is that it has an engaging storyline. It's fun to play. The dynamic is abusive but also interesting to watch. A mother manipulating her son to do her dirty work is an interesting concept. This is like the Oedipus Rex in a way (not completely, but it definitely has a mother and son incest). I actually find the dynamic more interesting than Andrew and Ashley. No hate on them. Renee and Andrew just seem interesting. Also a cool storyline.

Now, onto the complaints. Yeah, unlike the original game, you can clearly see they just wanted them to screw each other. Renee and Andrew. Twice (with the two burial routes). Like, obviously Renee is a milf, as it seems, and I absolutely blame p*rn for this idea for the mod. Also, you're gonna send Ashley away to make the mod happen without much exploring of what happened to her? No one's gonna help her? That's just sad. And even then, Renee has moments where she is exactly like Ashley in order to fit the mod. Which doesn't seem like Renee. I know this is an AU, but still, it doesn't feel like Renee at all.

In that case, why not just give Ashley a personality like Renee and Andrew? Why not make Andrew and Ashley similar? It would still contain a toxic dynamic. It'd be like Renee and Andrew without the mother-son stuff. It would still contain incest and the toxicity of it. It would still be an AU. And it would establish better than some characters are not the same. I mean, one could argue that's exactly the case for Renee, but it would make more sense if it was done with Ashley. I'm not sure if I'm explaining this well, but I would love a mod where Ashley and Andrew are more similar. I can't do mods for shit, but I can make fanfics for sure unless others have done this.

That's just my two cents. Whether you agree or disagree, it doesn't matter. That's my thought. I know it's just a mod, and I do like it, thus why I'm engaged to it. But still, it does deserve some complaints and some praise.

Recently, Mr. Archive/HeavyBerry, the owner of The Coffin of Andy and Leyley Everything Server and the leader and head writer of The Coffin of Candy Scab and the upcoming The Coffin of No-Good Noelle mod teams, has been revealed to be supportive of Donald Trump, multiple racists, and at least one Nazi of his server. Furthermore, he was shown to have abused his power by forcing his staff to comply with his schemes to attack others and allowing a minor to be a mod with access to the NSFW chats. The justifiable backlash and criticism he received from the members of his server was returned with bans. Unknown9337, the server’s co-owner; head mod of the TCOAAL subreddit; and face of The Coffin of Andrew and Renee mod team, is his major accomplice in this censorship and support of hate by banning a major person of this incident from the subreddit for speaking out about Archive’s political views and corruption. 

In my good conscience, I can no longer play or review any of their mods, even more so now that I got banned from TCOAALES for writing this post. I call for both of them to step down from their positions of leadership now that I and many of the community no longer have any trust in them ensuring a hospitable online space.

This all started when a member named OutwardwetZ made a report to the staff of a member being a supporter of the Alternative for Germany, a Neo-Nazi party. The staff immediately banned them, but Mr. Archive argued they should be unbanned and claimed a private, anonymous vote was made to overturn it. This is despite the fact that that Nazi supporter has broken Rules 1 and 6 by openly discussing the AFD in the server, then still being disrespectful to Outward in DMs.

This was leaked out to the rest of the server, where everyone has started posting screenshots proving his support for Trump's nationalist policies and unbanning racist members. Outward attempted to solve this peacefully by telling Archive that he needs to step down as owner, only to get banned in return.

This spurred a mod to give permissions to the rest of the server to see Archive’s corruption and beliefs. During that period of time, screenshots were posted proving his support for Trump. Despite Trump’s blatant neglect of the United States during the COVID-19 pandemic made it the country with the highest death count in the world and his close ties with Vladmir Putin would put Ukraine in a very unfavorable position, Archive still advocates him as the superior candidate for the United States and the international community.

Outward attempted to resolve this peacefully by convincing Archive that he needs to step down as owner, only to get banned in retaliation. More screenshots were found of his corruption following their ban, given in DMs by those rightfully enraged at Archive.

A mod, who left the server in protest, also revealed Archive wanted to unban a racist member who claims that Afghan refugees rape people, despite the member also being disrespectful in DMs with Outward.

Archive also wanted to unban another member that was banned for racism, but messages to prove that were deleted and cannot be accessed.

Furthermore, Archive was found to have forced a staff member to keep lolicon porn as “evidence” against someone. Given that he chose to delay revealing that, it likely is a way to blackmail or attack that person so he can gain something from it. This staff member was very uncomfortable with it, but was forced to comply because of Archive’s higher authority.

The message was referred to this comment they made in January: 

Despite wanting to attack someone for having lolicon porn, he allowed an underage mod to have access to NSFW chats. He claimed that mods have access to all channels until another mod disproved that.

I came in contact with the mod shown above to ask permission if I can use their name and picture. I stated my purpose for approaching them, however, it turned out they supported Archive and banned me in turn. They refused to consent to being shown, so I will not show any DMs of that conversation. 

In regards to Unknown, he was not active on Discord during the incident, but he was tellingly so on the subreddit. Outward showed me their Reddit post calling out Archive got deleted and was banned from there. 

As mentioned in the screenshots where Archive explains his reasons for allowing that underage mod have access to the NSFW chats, the same mod is part of the subreddit, which has a lot of nsfw content. This demonstrates that both Archive and Unknown have the same indifference to this kind of situation

All of this behavior is absolutely unacceptable, and I feel hurt and betrayed by all of this just like many of their community. However, I sincerely hope that both Archive and Unknown will leave their positions of power and reflect on their beliefs, words, and actions.
