🏃#HailRun 🎖 Today I knocked off my bucket list another thing as a runner I have not done before and that was run in a hail storm. Ran @epicracingevents New Haven 10K for I'm thinking the 4th or 5th time and now in my new age group of male 50-54 I got my 1st in almost 3 years 1st place, which was a nice surprise. I was not training to get a PR or sub 1 hour, so it was nice to hear my name when it came to awards. The race itself started out really cloudy, but around mile 3. The rain started and at mile 4 it fell hard and shortly after that the hail started and on my bald head...it was not that comfortable. But I pushed and think I might have passed a few older gentlemen in my age range, as I saw them walking either through or around the puddles I was running through.
