haimon, when you're stumped on what to get someone for a gift (for the sake of the question let's assume it's their hatchday, and you are obligated to get this person something) what's your go-to? additionally, what kinds of gifts do you like to receive and why?
"Eh I don't really have this kind of worry but sure. If I need a baseline gift for someone then I get them a gift card to somewhere nice for their caste and then I get them a fancy little cake or pastry. But in general I know a lot about someone if they're close enough to me for me to feel obligated to get them a gift so I try to aim for something semi specific. As for myself I prefer to get weird unique foods or accessories that match my style. But money is fine, though I tend not to spend money on myself."

♝: Reading a book together Bo was fairly patient as he helped Phy through the cookbook he'd bought. She was so insistent on helping in the kitchen that this seemed the safest way for everyone involved. She could read the pages out loud to you and hand you ingredients as they came up but she was forbidden from anything electronic.

How were you supposed to know that the rando was going to try to stab you? And how were you supposed to know you should have left the knife in? Clearly using their own knife to stab them back was the best choice....
