For the fanfic writer meme ask, 1 and 9?
1. How do you choose your titles? Is there a method/pattern you use?
I use a few different methods, I guess.
Just stick two or three words together that convey something related to the fic. I used to prefer this kind of title since it felt simpler and more straightforward than longer ones, but it gets kinda repetitive-sounding after so many stories, so now I’m trying to use other forms more often.
Make up something that’s longer but still relevant. Like, with “In the Dust under the Stars,” I was going for something more ~artistic~ that referenced the setting and some of the feelings in the story and, like, kinda implied the word stardust. (That’s the spoiler fic I mentioned before, so please don’t even go near it until you’ve finished the newest VLD season!!)
Use a song lyric or quote or whatever that fits. For example, “The Words Won’t Be Enough” is a line from the song that story is based on, and “Not a Bad Guy” comes from the last point of Yuusaku’s positive list about Shima from episode one: “Third: you went out of your way to talk to an isolated and possibly lonely person like myself, so you don’t seem like a bad guy.” I’ve thought that line was cute from the first time I saw it, so it was fun to take part of it and turn it around to imply it was Shima’s view on Yuusaku. (Apparently that line is way different in at least one other translation though, rip.)
9. How do you choose a POV for a story?
I’ve already answered this question in a previous ask, so, uh...here’s that answer again:
Hmmmmmm. I’ve never really thought before about what my process for this might be, but I think it depends on the scene(s) I want to write. If the story is focused around one character’s feelings about a particular event or person or whatever, then obviously the story should be from that character’s pov, so that’s pretty natural. In cases where it’s less obvious–like if there are several characters in a scene, or if I have a story idea but am not sure whose thoughts I want to focus on–then I sometimes will write part of the scene in my head and see from the needed description which character is best-suited to be the perspective. Oftentimes, if one character is doing something unusual or just is unusual themself, then the perspective will go to another character so they can react to the unusual person.
iirc I’ve literally asked a friend before to decide for me which pov I should write a particular story from because I was equally stuck between two characters.
LOOK AT THIS CIERO FANART MY FRIEND MADE!!

A free open source Vtuber project in Godot!
Just made this public so anyone can use it! it has transparency, some basic audio sensing stuff so it knows when you speak over a certain volume and opens your characters mouth, etc. I made it since I personally wanted to have an easy Vtubing method that was completely free to use and now this is here! if you use it with krita and blender, since it's in Godot, you can do literally all of it for free! plus it supports 3d 2d and...something in between models! though i can't add support for Live2d theres projects out there I've heard of that can try to bring those models into blender, but you can get a very similar setup functionality wise in blender anyways and just plop it in which is how I made mine!
This is a little handy dandy VideoGame tuber (like as in its a vtuber made in a video game engine!) thing you can use to make your own vgtub
Here's the very simplest way there is to throw your vtuber in :) Though again you can make it as complicated as you want this IS a video game development program. You could make a whole little world they run around in! the sky really is the limit. I hope you guys give it a try and like it! If you find this is too difficult to use, theres also Veadotube which is AWESOME and while it's technically more limited, they do have a lot more options in the paid version if you support the creators patreon. Not associted with them but I got started with vtubing thanks to veadotube so I'm cheering them on even though I've moved on to making my own thing, theirs definitely is more professional looking since this was a pretty rough homemade thing. I like the freedom it gives me : )
If you make a VGtuber in StarsVgtuber setup make sure to tag me so I can check it out :3 I want to see everyone chase their dreams and have fun!!! I hope this will make vtubing a bit more acessable and maybe even get more people into using godot because it's an awesome free open source project you should also totally support if you've got the money!
if you want to support me and making this sort of thing though uh...you can buy Halcyon here on amazon https://a.co/d/044ZjYft or if you like books with supervillain protagonists who love theater and cute superheroes who really, really need a vacation or maybe to retire :) I don't have a donations page or anything but i plan to work on this whether or not I get support , but I figure I should mention it since I would love if I could make this sort of thing a living, if there is enough support I'll make a patreon or something like that :) I'd also like to add that at NO POINT EVER will I be using ai in any of my projects. However I am a bit of a goober so if you guys find a bug let me know. currently i know of one bug where it crashes if you don't click the record button twice then click play, I have no clue why it does that so if anyone DOES know let me know so i can fix it. Here's a thank you Ciero Tube for reading this far! he loves and supports you!
(oh also Halcyon 2 is done writing, editing is in process, so for those of you who follow me for more info on that, don't worry! things are going swimmingly!)
Happy Villaintimes day-? hold on Ciero no it's Valentines day stop trying to fight Acianne that's NOT how you flirt!
OH HEY I FORGOT TO POST ABOUT IT BUT HALCYON 2 HAS BEEN WRITTEN AND WILL BEGIN EDITING...SOONISH
I made a little comic trying to draw the opening sentence of Halcyon in comic form!!! I hope you guys like it!
Hello. It me. How about Kusanagi + “so what? you did it.” ?
[Note: this is set in a vaguely timed future where Yuusaku and Kusanagi have already started working with others to fight Hanoi and Yuusaku has Actually Made Friends (kinda) (if anyone commented on it he would probably deny it tbh). The joys of writing for a show still super early in its story.]
Leaning on his elbows against the guardrail, Kusanagi kept an ear on the clumsy chatter behind him as he skimmed the recent news on a tablet he’d borrowed from Yuusaku. His food truck had been parked for hours on the hill overlooking Den City, the setting sun had nested in the trees behind him to cast every shadow towards the distant buildings, and the tablet’s battery was on the verge of an unceremonious death.
It had been a pleasant surprise when Yuusaku first asked if he and his classmates Aoi and Shima could borrow the computer for the afternoon—both because it was still rare to see him spend time with people his own age outside school, and because Yuusaku never asked to do anything—but it was getting late. Kusanagi would soon need to go down into the city to set up shop for the night’s Duels, but the conversation inside the truck showed no signs of slowing, and he couldn’t bring himself to cut it short yet. Besides, Blue Angel had a Duel scheduled for that night, so surely he could trust Aoi to keep an eye on the time.
