laura and lydia as contract killers. but like, not working together. and they've been paid to kill the same person. and they're getting in each other's way and on each other's nerves all the time. i'm so!!!
The location wasn’t perfect. Laura was willing to bet she was going to get an earful about shooting the target in broad daylight, in public no less, but she didn’t have a lot of time.
Her finger slid over the trigger and she was about to fire before something tackled her to the side, sending them both crashing to the ground.
No. Not something. Someone.
A very heavy, very annoying someone.
“AGAIN?” She quickly moved her head to avoid the fist attempting to connect to her jaw, trying not to laugh as her attacker hit the ground instead. Good. Maybe a couple of broken fingers would deter him for awhile.
The knee crashing against her stomach proved this wish useless.
Laura quickly grabbed her gun again and pointed it at the man. The redhead raised his arms sarcastically and cocked an eyebrow, as if daring her to pull the trigger.
“Why do you even want him so badly?” he asked, sounding more annoyed than terrified that he was less than five seconds from getting a bullet through her skull. “I know about you. You’re contracted to take targets worth thousands more. Why is this one so important?”
Laura smirked slightly. “You could say it’s a family affair.”
"Wow. You’re more messed up than I thought.”
Laura tucked her weapon back into her waistband, convincing herself that the reason she wasn’t killing the other assassin was that she didn’t want yet another price on her head, and not that she wanted to wipe the grin off his face with something other than a gun.
