Description
Samuel R. Rosenbaum was a lawyer and former army colonel who served as the vice-president of the Bankers Securities Corporation from 1926 until 1943, and as the president of the Philadelphia radio station WFIL from 1932 until 1943.
Rosenbaum previously served as the special assistant U.S. Attorney General for the Eastern District of Philadelphia from 1918 to 1919 and as assistant city solicitor from 1920 to 1924. He was also an avid supporter of the arts, working as a vice president and member of the board of directors of the Philadelphia Orchestra Association from 1928 through 1967, and as the program administrator who oversaw a large trust fund to establish free concerts and showcase emerging musicians for the public.
