Am I the only one slightly happy we’re wearing masks in the west?😬😆 I pray that this pandemic comes to an end and that everyone stays safe & healthy. I also know that masks can be an inconvenience (especially since it’s summer) but.... face masks have been the norm in the east (for various reasons such as air pollution, sickness prevention, hiding pimples, etc) Wearing a face mask in South Korea is as normal as wearing earphones in public and is an expected commuter accessory. The mask is a gesture toward good hygiene and awareness of their civic duty regarding public health. Furthermore, face masks often act as an accessory, sold in various colors and designs, which can be a fashionable complement to an outfit. When your learning about Korean culture and see people and celebrities wearing face masks pretty much all the time, it kinda makes you wanna join in, right? What are your thoughts on face masks?
