So this year my buddy and I are hoping 🤞 to be a vendor at this year's pride market!!! Busy making a TONNE of queer-af bead keychains 🦎🦄🍆🎈

Still building up stock but so excited b/c 100% of the money will be donated to either the Rainbow Refugee Association of Nova Scotia (RRANS) or the Rainbow Railroad 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ (customer's choice 😘)

These are all the *flavours* designed so far, will bring my supplies for any custom requests. Also some lil' 🍆 rude 🍆 varieties available (buddy is a BIG fan)

So excited for pride this year, hopefully folks want to scoop one up to support a good cause 😀

(Also HIGHLY been enjoying setting up my inventory and point-of-sale. Getting right into the materials management side of things lol 🤓 Did some "market research" to find out what might be the most popular and lizards WON so making ALL THE LIZARDS 🦎)

Nova Scotia’s Progressive Conservative premier was absent from Halifax’s Pride parade over the weekend, marking the second year in a row he missed the largest LGBTQ+ celebration in Atlantic Canada. Fiona Kerr, executive director of Halifax Pride, said the Progressive Conservatives did not participate in the parade because they were late to register and float spots had filled up. Catherine Klimek, a spokesperson for Premier Tim Houston’s office, said in an email the PC Party was on the wait-list for Saturday’s parade. When asked if Houston had tried to join another group’s float to take part in the event, she did not directly answer.

skipping pride this year and feeling really guilty about it, but they've made it so absolutely inaccessible that I can't enjoy it anymore. at least half of the event are 19+ and in bars, so fuck you if you're a recovering alcoholic, or just not comfortable around drinking. they have event grounds at the bottom of citadel hill, but the "accessible" area is only for people with mobility aids and ASL interpretation. there's no seating, and you're not allowed to bring a seat in. if you sit on the ground? oh well, you didn't need to see the stage anyway. fuck you if you wanna come to shows but aren't capable of standing for 5 hours straight. and the parade! we banned cops from marching, but we still let them shut down all the roads in and out of the parade zone 5 hours early for no discernible reason! fuck you if you're coming from out of town, and if you can't walk 6 blocks to get here.

and like I know I probably wouldn't have enjoyed myself anyway, bc it's gonna be super hot and the A's are always, always excluded, but damn, I just wanted to be part of something for a couple hours.
