Take a big breath, your fitness classes haven’t gone away yet. Thank you to everyone who signed in for my barre class last night, it was a great test of what’s possible for virtual fitness! This week I will be offering more virtual opportunities to join me for fitness classes. We’re still working out the kinks in the technology with sound and all that but we’ll work through it together. Knowing that you probably don’t have a lot of space at home or equipment, I’ve modified some of my formats to reflect that. Some of the formats I teach like Zumba and Pound normally can’t be taught virtually but I’m looking at all the latest updates to verify whether it’s possible in this situation (it looks like it, but I’m being careful about what’s on social media!). If you came to my classes @dalplex please share this with friends who also come to classes! How to get in on a class: 1.) Send me a personal message that you are interested. I will send you a link to Zoom, the platform I’m using for classes 2.) Either e-transfer $7.00 to [email protected] or send me an email where I can invoice you via PayPal. 3.) Call in with your computer or phone to the Zoom call. Make sure you have some room to move. For cardio classes you really won’t need a lot of equipment but you might need more room to move side to side. For barre and resistance training you’ll need a mat (but carpet is great) and maybe some weights ( you can fill up water bottles and use those). Lastly, thank you to everyone for being supportive. A fitness community is so much more than just working out together. It’s a safe space to move and de-stress and I think we all need more of that any time in our lives. I hope to see you in classes virtually this week! #groupfitness #groupfitnessinstructor #groupfitnessclasses #fitnessinstructor #halifaxfit #halifaxfitness #fitnesshalifax #novascotiafit #novascotiafitness #barrefitness #virtualfitness #coredeforce #dancefitness #virtualbarre (at Halifax, Nova Scotia) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9yuJUxHIkI/?igshid=1k28jacxq20pm
